We believe that all of our members are workers for the Lord Jesus but we’re also delighted to have a ministry trainee and ministry apprentice working full time to be trained for ministry. Dylan and Tom spend their time studying and practically serving in the church ministries and amongst the fellowship.
Ministry Trainee – Dylan Brady
Hi my name is Dylan. I was born quarter of a century ago in London to Welsh parents. I grew up in London, in a Welsh speaking home, but I finally made the return to my homeland in 2011 when I came to study here in Cardiff. I have since completed a degree, worked with students for a year, worked in 2 different primary schools and married my wife Cat. I’m now the Ministry Trainee at Emmanuel which means I’m learning how to serve in a church on the job. When I’m not with the lovely Emmanuel lot, I enjoy playing football, following Liverpool FC (yes i know I’m from London), watching films and reading.
Ministry Apprentice – Tom Baker
I’m Tom. I grew up in the South Wales valleys and moved to Cardiff in 2014 to study at Cardiff University. During that time I joined the church at Emmanuel. I’ve spent the last year on the Relay program with UCCF, where I worked with Christian Unions in Universities across South East Wales, and now I have taken up a ministry apprenticeship here. God saved me through the gradual input of friends and family, teaching me the good news of God’s grace found in Jesus. I saw that the whole world is disappointing, but that only Jesus truly satisfies.
If you see me around Gabalfa, say hello!
